A text link should make it clear what information will be found if it is clicked.

Your text links should contain enough information in them to make it perfectly clear what the browser will see if they click on that link. Links such as "Click Here" or vague one word links that don't offer much description don't get clicked as often as descriptive links.

That doesn't mean that the links need to be a paragraph or two long! Text links should be as long as it takes to make it easily understood where they are going, and not a word longer.
