Are you sending your emails out on the right day?
The day and time that you send out your broadcast emails affects their response rates.
If you have been experiencing falling response rates, yet your open rates have remained fairly constant, you can try mailing on a different day.
Currently (July '04), Monday has the highest open rate (35.5%) AND the highest click-through rate (5.9%) according to a study conducted by eROI for MarketingSherpa.
For your particular mailings to your particular market, you'll want to test to see if mailing at a different time or day of the week bumps your response rates..
