The JKBedrin Marketing Group Presents...

The Daily Tidbit

Bit #62

People don't buy the product--they buy the advertising.

You've just created the greatest product in the world.

"Great," you think. "Now I won't have to worry about marketing and sales, this thing will just sell itself!"

So you sit and wait for the world to come beating down your door.

And you wait. And wait. And wait.

You're going to be waiting a long, long time until you wake up to the fact that people don't buy the product--they buy the advertising. They need to be motivated to make the effort to actually trade their hard-earned money for your fabulous product.

To get them moving, you've got to show them how your product will make their life better. How it's worth the effort to get up and get it. How they'll be kicking themselves if they miss out on such a great opportunity.

A good product is important, but it is nothing until it has a good marketing campaign introducing it to the world.
